Ahhhh, fall.  The smell of fires, golden sunsets that arrive earlier and earlier, trees turning beautiful golds and reds.   Fall makes me happy AND melancholy.  I turn inward more and think of the past and the people that have meant so much to me that are no longer here.  It makes me think of snuggles and sitting outside wrapped in a warm blanket talking to the people I love. Fall is memories of new school clothes, trick or treating, candy corns, carving pumpkins with my father and playing in piles of damp and musty leaves.  Now with fall here I am lucky enough to have children to pass these memories on to.  We go on hayrides, pick apples, carve pumpkins, build fires, and my husband takes my son for walks in the chilly evening rain.  Fall is my favorite time of year… ah, fall.
